Technical Director of Estates and Valuation

Mark is a Chartered Surveyor with over 30 years of post-qualification experience gained in a variety of environments, including being Head of Estates at a local authority and senior positions in private practice.

Mark is a seasoned and experienced property professional responsible for strategic leadership of the estate management / property advisory function within Align Chartered Surveyors, including identifying new and retaining existing clients, formulating bids and fee quotes via framework or direct opportunities and team management.

Alongside, client liaison and relationship management, Mark has also direct responsibility for work on key instructions including valuations, landlord and tenant matters and general estate management for a number of local authorities in Yorkshire, the North East, North West and The Midlands. Recent examples include valuation of a county council’s primary school portfolio and valuation of operational children’s social care and administrative facilities for establishment of a Trust. 

Wherever possible, Mark uses his experience of both public and private sectors to add value to any instruction in order to benefit both public and private clients, whilst also ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget.

Mark is also an experienced APC Supervisor and Counsellor.
